Nephew Simon, the oldest son of my sister Inge, made his first steps on the catwalk!! A few weeks ago he was asked to take part of the autumn/winter teenager 2010 fashion shoot for the new magazine of the Belgian fashion store, DELEYE.

The new Magazine was edited just yesterday, so I wanted to surprise Simon with this post!!!

Valentino’s catwalk

This morning I received an email of the company QUERCUS.

This French company is a maker of high-quality handmade wood floors.

They work in the tradition of the French and Italian woodmakers of the 17th and 18th century.

I discovered this company at the Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris this year.  And I can tell you that their work is beautiful!

So in the email the company QUERCUS was proud to announce that they had delivered the parquet floor for the catwalk at the fashion show of Valentino. Fashion week in Paris, 2 weeks ago!!!! Isn’t that fantastic?!

These first 5 images I got emailed from Quercus this morning.

All things Belgian

Essentiel is one of my favorite Belgian fashion brands.

The people behind the in 1999 created label are the Belgian couple Inge Onsea and Esfandiar Eghtessadi from Antwerp.

Essentiel offers a variety of styles, ranging from very casual to elegant.

Sweet Coffee is one of my favorite Belgian music groups.

One of their songs I love is titled “Special Kind of Feeling”. I included the video of that song here.

Eye-catcher

I'm not that fashion-addict, but this pub from Ralph Lauren , I saw in the Elle Magazine by sitting at my hair-dresser today, is an eye-catcher, to me!

What do you think of it?
